| ABOUT ME I come from Eastwood in Nottinghmashire, famous as the birthplace of the writer and artist D H Lawrence. Initially I painted a wide variety of subjects but when I began painting full-time I decided to specialise in transport themes and for several years I have been the artist-in-Residence at Crich Tramway Village. I now paint mainly using Chromacolour but I also work in acrylics and alkyd oils. I have had paintings shown at the British Society of Painters, where I have twice been a prize winner; the Derby Open exhibition; the Patchings Award exhibition; the Pierrepont Gallery and the Bexhill 100 Festival. Many of my paintings are reproduced as prints and also feature on cards, calendars, mousemats and mugs. COMMISSIONS I am always very happy to discuss commissions. As a GUIDE ONLY, an unframed original, 22" by 18", where I retain the copyright, would cost around £550. Previous commissions have included buses; lorries; locomotives; cars; motorcycles, even a submarine, and clients include Conwy Council; East Lancashire Coach Builders; Metroline and many private individuals.
