| PAUL ATCHINSON - Transport Artist > COMMISSIONS |
COMMISSIONS If you have a particular vehicle or scene you would like capturing on canvas I would be very happy to discuss a commission. I have undertaken quite a number of commissions, both for private individuals and for companies - both large and small, and I'm pleased to say that the list continues to grow. The really nice thing about a unique, original painting is the opportunity it gives to recreate memories, conjuring up a true sense of nostalgia. The cost of commissioning a painting depends on the complexity of the subject to be painted, the medium that the painting is painted in and whether or not you wish to secure the copyright of the original painting for yourself. For a single vehicle with no background and measuring approximately 16 inches by 12 inches the cost would be around £450. For a large montage painting, measuring approximately 24 inches by 16 inches with several vehicles the cost would be around £900. The costs quoted are for your guidance only and include the cost of framing, and mounting where appropriate, in a moulding of my choice, and are based on the copyright of the painting being retained by me. Doing the necessary research to get it right and making sure that you are completed satisfied is very important to me, after all the painting will be around for a long time hopefully. I have to split my painting time between my self initiated projects and commissions so I accept only a small number of commissions each year. How quickly I can complete your painting would depend on what work I was undertaking at the time of your commission, but it is likely to take several weeks. If you are considering a painting as a gift for a special occasion please get in touch with me in plenty of time - it can never be too soon but it can be TOO LATE!. I often use photographs as a source of reference for paintings. These can be ones I taken either by me or by the person commissioning me but I cannot reproduce the image shown in a photograph as a painting without the written consent from the copyright owner, usually the photographer who took the original photograph. If you would like to commission a unique, original painting, or if you would like to discuss the possibility of a commission, with no obligation whatsoever, call me on 01773 786820 and I'll be happy to talk it through with you and to provide you with a more detailed quote and possible completion date. If you prefer you can email me at paul@paulatchinson.co.uk or write to me at 35b Derby Road, Eastwood, Nottingham, NG16 3NZ. |
